When specifying a pivot door, please keep in mind that part of the usable opening is lost to the pivoting action of the door, therefore - in most circumstances, the wider the better.  Ninety-six-inch wide-pivot doors are not uncommon for us at Modern Steel Doors. Steel is a substrate is minimal expansion/contraction properties. Wood can not make this statement. Thus, steel is the ideal material for a monumental-sized door.
